Getting There

Emerald is accessible via the Capricorn Highway from both Brisbane (9 hours) and Rockhampton (3 hours). Emerald Airport has daily flights from Brisbane via QantasLink and Alliance Airlines.

Emerald Inn — A Night Out of the Van

Most rally-goers are set up in the van, and plenty still book a night or two with us partway through — a full-size shower, a real bed, a proper laundry and somewhere to run the air conditioning through the worst of the afternoon.

We are at 28–30 Esmond Street, close to the CBD for restocking. Vans and larger rigs use the street parking around the property rather than our undercover car park, which is sized for standard vehicles. Each apartment has a full kitchen and its own washer-dryer.
