Getting There

Emerald is accessible via the Capricorn Highway from both Brisbane (9 hours) and Rockhampton (3 hours). Emerald Airport has daily flights from Brisbane via QantasLink and Alliance Airlines.

Eisteddfod runs across days rather than hours, with long gaps between a heat and a final — and a hotel room with a bed and a television is a difficult place to spend them. Our Two Bedroom apartments have a separate living and dining area, so there is space to run through a piece without everyone sitting on the beds.

We are at 28–30 Esmond Street, walking distance from the CBD, which makes ducking back between sessions realistic. Cots and rollaway beds are available at no charge for younger siblings along for the week.

Between Sessions and After the Results

Eisteddfod weeks have long gaps in them, and the winter timing means the weather is on your side:
