AgGrow Field Days Accommodation in Emerald

AgGrow Field Days is the biggest event on Emerald’s calendar — Central Queensland’s major agriculture and mining field days, held each June at the AgGrow grounds on the Capricorn Highway just west of town. Machinery, livestock handling, rural technology, working demonstrations and several thousand visitors across three days. The 2026 field days ran 18–20 June; dates for the next edition are announced at aggrow.com.au.

Book early — this is our sell-out week

Straight from our front desk: AgGrow is Emerald Inn’s main sell-out every year. The whole town fills — exhibitors, buyers, reps and rural families all at once — and accommodation goes first. If your dates include AgGrow week, book as far ahead as you can, directly with us for the best available rate.

Why exhibitors and field-day visitors stay with us

Self-contained, properly. All 32 apartments have full kitchens — full-size fridge/freezer, oven, stovetop, cookware — and their own washer-dryer. After three days on your feet at a field site, cooking your own dinner and running a load of washing matters.

Early starts handled. The Capricornian is on our own street — 17 Esmond Street, a one-minute walk — and opens from 5:30am. Pre-order the night before and breakfast is delivered to your apartment (Monday–Friday), so you’re fed before the gates open.

Utes, trailers and trucks. Standard vehicles use our free undercover centralised car park; larger work vehicles and trailers use street parking around the property, which our contractor and exhibitor guests do routinely without issues.

Late pack-down? No problem. Reception is open 7am–7pm daily, and if you’re not in by 5pm we call you and set up a key lock-box — you’ll never be locked out after a long day on site.

Exhibiting on a company account? One Travellers Group corporate account covers direct billing and consolidated invoicing across all five Travellers properties — useful if your team also works Rockhampton or Bundaberg.

Getting to the AgGrow site

The AgGrow grounds are on the Capricorn Highway on Emerald’s western side — a short drive from the Inn, with the whole town effectively operating as the event’s home base for the week. See every measured distance from Emerald Inn.

Make a week of it

June in the Central Highlands is prime touring weather. The Sapphire Gemfields are 45 minutes west for fossicking between field days, Lake Maraboon is 20 minutes away for red-claw and a sunset, and the Botanic Gardens make an easy morning walk on the Nogoa River.

Emerald Inn offers self-contained apartments with full kitchens, free undercover parking, and fast WiFi — about ten minutes from Emerald Airport and walking distance to the CBD. Book direct for the best available rate, or call (07) 4980 0600.
